Special Screening of "Speedy" (1928) starring Harold Lloyd
"Lloyd's final silent feature finds him at the peak of his career playing a baseball-crazed go-getter forced to rescue the business of his girlfriend's father from being destroyed by thugs. Filled with great scenes of 1920s NYC, with notable cameo by baseball's Babe Ruth. Join us for a summer season of movies and entertainment at the historic Leavitt Theatre. See great silent films with live music in a summer-only theater opened in 1925 and barely changed since."

Jeff Rapsis is a writer/editor, educator, and also a composer and performer who specializes in creating live musical scores for silent film screenings. Jeff has curated a silent film & live music series just for The Leavitt Theatre! Come pair iconic films, live music & history with our award-winning food & beverage programs for a night out that you won't forget!Â
The performance starts at 7pm with a brief history lesson of the film & then a screening acompanied by live pianos music!Â
