Jenny Owen Youngs comes to The Leavitt Theatre for an intimate solo performance on Friday, September 18.
A singer-songwriter with a career that has moved effortlessly between indie rock, folk and pop, Youngs has toured with artists including Regina Spektor, Aimee Mann, Ingrid Michaelson and Frank Turner, while quietly becoming a formidable songwriter behind the scenes. Her credits include co-writing Panic! At The Disco’s five-times-platinum “High Hopes,” as well as music featured across film and television.
Her latest album, Avalanche, marked Youngs’ return to releasing her own full-length music after more than a decade. Written alongside artists including S. Carey, Madi Diaz, Peter Silberman of The Antlers and Christian Lee Hutson, it pairs her knack for infectious melodies with dreamy arrangements and deeply personal songwriting about loss, resilience, love and starting again.
